It is well known that 6-dimensional standard sphere \(S^6\) has a nearly Kähler structure \(J\). Due to \textit{A. Gray} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 20, 277--279 (1969; Zbl 0165.55803)], the only possibility of a \(J\)-invariant submanifold is the case of the image of a Riemann surface which is called an almost complex curve \(f:M\to S^6\). The results in [J. Differ. Geom. 1, 111--125 (1967; Zbl 0171.20504)] by \textit{E. Calabi} and \textit{J. Bolton}, \textit{L. Vrancken} and by \textit{L. M. Woodward} in [Q. J. Math., Oxf. II. Ser. 45, 407--427 (1994; Zbl 0861.53061)] show that almost complex curves are divided into four types. In the present paper a machinery is given of constructing almost complex curves \(f:M\to S^6\) of type (III): linearly full in some totally geodesic \(S^5\) in \(S^6\). As application, a first nontrivial example of an almost complex 2-tori of type (III) is described in terms of the Jacobi elliptic functions. In the final section, a general solution of such tori are described in terms of the Prym theta functions using the known results from the theory of integrable system.
