Let \(X\) be a Fano manifold and let \(D\) be a smooth anti-canonical divisor. The \(K\)-stability of the pair \((X,D)\) is conjectured to be equivalent to the existence of a Kähler-Einstein metric on \(X\) with cone singularities of angle \(2\pi \beta \) transverse to \(D\), where the real parameter \(\beta \) is in \((0,1]\) [\textit{S. K. Donaldson}, ``Kähler metrics with cone singularities along a divisor'', in: Essays in mathematics and its applications. Berlin: Springer. 49--79 (2012; Zbl 1247.00056), \url{arXiv:1102.1196}]. In this paper, the author proves that the pair \((X,D)\) is strictly \(K\)-semistable with respect to angle \(\beta =0\) and it is \(K\)-unstable with respect to angle \(\beta <0\).
