This paper is concerned with the global attractivity of the zero solution to the following impulsive delay differential equation \[ x'(t)+a(t)x(t)=p(t)f(x(t-\tau)), \quad t\geq 0, \quad t\not=t_k \] \[ x(t_{k}^{+})-x(t_{k})=b_{k}x(t_{k}), \quad k\in \mathbb{N}, \] where \(a(t), p(t)\in C([0,+\infty), (0,+\infty))\), \(\tau>0\), \(b_{k}>-1\) for all \(k\in \mathbb{N}\), \(0<t_{1}<t_{2}<\ldots,\) with \(t_{k}\to +\infty\) as \(k\to+\infty\), \(f(x)\) is decreasing and \(f(x)=0\) if and only if \(x=0,\) and there are constants \(A>0\), \(B>0\) such that \[ f(x)\leq B \quad\text{for } x\in \mathbb{R}, \qquad f(x)\leq -Ax \quad\text{for }x\leq 0. \] The authors provide some sufficient conditions to guarantee that every solution to the above mentioned equation converges to zero. These results are applied to some impulsive delay ecological equations.
