When one studies a biologically motivated system one should include realistic assumptions, e.g., delay, stability, periodicity etc. Moreover, the derived conditions should be in an easily verifiable form. This paper succeeds on both accounts. The authors use Gaines-Mawhin coincidence degree theorem to derive easily verifiable sufficient conditions for the existence of positive periodic solutions of a delayed predator-prey system. Their results are applicable to the case, where the delay is state-dependent. A relevant reference to this work is \textit{Q. Liu} and \textit{H. Zhou} [JIPAM, J. Inequal. Pure Appl.
