Let \(X=\text{Spf } A\), where \(A\) is a finite product of complete noetherian local rings of residue characteristic \(p>0\). The author considers commutative, one-dimensional, formal groups \({\mathbb G}\) of finite height over \(X\) and he studies moduli problems for special families of subgroups. For any finite abelian \(p\)-group \(B\), he defines a \(\text{level}\)-\(B\) structure on \({\mathbb G}\) and he proves that the moduli space \(\text{level}(B, {\mathbb G})\) is a smooth scheme and that the projection \(\text{level}(B, {\mathbb G})\to X\) is finite and flat. He shows that flags of subgroups \(0=K_0<K_1<\dots<K_m={\mathbb G}(1)=\text{ker} p_{\mathbb G}\), with given degrees \(p^{\lambda_i}\), are classified by a smooth scheme \(\text{Flag}(\lambda, {\mathbb G})\) and that there are finite flat maps \(\text{level} (({\mathbb Z}/p)^n, {\mathbb G})\to \text{Flag}(\lambda, {\mathbb G})\to X\), where \(n\) is the height of \({\mathbb G}\). Finally he studies the orbit space \(\text{level}(B, {\mathbb G})/\Aut(B)\) and the problem of classifying deformations of a given isogeny of formal groups over a field. In the final section, the author presents some examples of formal group laws with explicit computer-aided calculations.
