The author studies the parametric family of Thue equations related to the family of simplest sextic fields \[ x^6-2mx^5y-5(m+3)x^4y^2-20x^3y^3+ 5mx^2y^4+ 2(m+3)xy^5+y^6=\lambda \] where \(m\) is an integer and \(\lambda\) is a divisor of \(27(m^2+3m+9)\). A deep study of the family of simplest sextic fields leads the author to prove that the equation has only the trivial solutions with \(xy(x+y)(x-y)(x+2y)(x-2y)=0\). This extends former results of \textit{G. Lettl} et al. [in: Number theory. Diophantine, computational and algebraic aspects. Proceedings of the international conference, Eger, Hungary, 1996. Berlin: de Gruyter, 331--348 (1998; Zbl 0923.11053)].
