Using Krasnosel'skiĭ's fixed point theorem, the author establishes sufficient conditions for the existence of one or multiple positive solutions for the first-order periodic boundary value problem (PBVP) \[ x(n+1)=x(n)-f(n,x(n)),\quad 0\leq n\leq w-1,\quad x(0)=x(w) \] where \(w\) is a positive integer, and \(f(n,x)\) is defined on \(\mathbb{Z}\times \mathbb{R}\) and is \(w\)-periodic in \(n\).
