The paper presents some techniques to retrieve information about orbits of dynamical systems lost in the process of making measurements due to discretization, sampling or noise. The authors propose a general method of reprocessing the experimentally obtained data to effectively increase its information content and show how the information about an orbit can be improved by a mere reprocessing of the data without having to change the experimental setup used for measurements. The method presented in the case of one-dimensional blurred orbits is then extended to higher- dimensional discrete dynamical systems. The efficiency of the proposed method is studied for the examples of the Henon map and the Holmes map.
