In this article the author attempts to give as full as possible a picture of Srinivasa Ramanujan's medical history during his time in England. The discussion is based largely on unpublished letters and documents housed in various libraries and on information extracted from the records of public bodies. The author amplifies and extends some of the previous results in the light of information received recently. This article is divided into five sections viz: (i) Introduction, (ii) Mr. Ramanujan's accounts which contains the list of items of expenditure and receipt, (iii) Ramanujan's diet (The nature of diet and physician's advice are discussed), (iv) Symptoms and diagonosis, (v) Concluding remarks. It contains the following subsections: Hardy's precursors, Eric Harold Neville, Ramanujan's note books, other letters and papers, Hardy's social relationships, Ramanujan as a mathematician. Each section is well written and informative. This article is helpful to those who are going to study history of science.
