In this paper there are established several results concerning a conforming, continuous approximation of the time-dependent electromagnetic field in 3D, polyhedral geometries. The paper deals successively with theoretical aspects and numerical algorithms. There are studied both the cases of convex and nonconvex domains and the abstract results combine the Heintzé method with the Costabel and Dauge approach. An important feature of this paper is that knowledge of the singular part of the fields is not required.
