In this article, the authors define two types of operations, i.e., the addition and multiplication, of algebroid functions and prove that their sums and products are still algebroid functions. As an application, they investigate the operational properties of algebroid functions and prove two uniqueness theorems for algebroid functions which extend C.C. Yang's uniqueness theorems [\textit{C.-C. Yang} and \textit{H.-X. Yi}, Uniqueness theory of meromorphic functions. Dordrecht: Kluwer Academic Publishers. Beijing: Science Press (2003; Zbl 1070.30011)] of meromorphic functions to algebroid functions.
