Starting from the fact that the geometry of a domain plays a fundamental role in the study of the Carleson measures associated to the Hardy and weighted Bergman spaces, in this paper a study of this problem on simply connected domains is done. After remembering the notion of a Carleson square in the unit disc \(\mathbb{D}\) of the complex plane \(\mathbb{C}\), associated to an interval in \(\mathbb{T}=\partial\mathbb{D}\), the Carleson theorem and some classical theorems are presented. The main results of the paper give characterizations for the Carleson measures for Hardy and weighted Bergman spaces defined on bounded domains in \(\mathbb{C}\). Also for the presented classical results interesting alternative proofs are given.
