\textit{R. Fintushel} and \textit{R. J. Stern} [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 122, 335- 364 (1985; Zbl 0602.57013)] introduced an invariant \(R\) for a Seifert fibered homology sphere, and they showed its positivity implied the homology sphere could not bound a \(\mathbb{Z}_ 2\)-acyclic \(4\)-manifold. The invariant was also used to show that certain knots were not slice. In this paper their methods are generalized to define an invariant in the case of Seifert fibered homology lens spaces. This invariant is used to show that certain Montesinos knots are not slice. For a different generalization to rational homology spheres with applications to slice knots one should see the papers of \textit{D. Ruberman} [Topology 27, 401- 414 (1988; Zbl 0669.57019)] and \textit{G. Matic} [J. Differ. Geom. 28, No. 2, 277-307 (1988; Zbl 0662.57018)].
