\textit{M. Ida} and \textit{E. Mezzetti} classify in Manuscr. Math. 68, No. 1, 57-67 (1990; Zbl 0722.14018), smooth sectionally non-special (i.e. the embedding linear system of a general hyperplane section is non-special) surfaces in \(\mathbb{P}_ 4\) leaving one possible numerical case undecided. In the present paper the authors exclude this case by analyzing the associated adjunction mapping.
