This paper provides expressions for points and derivatives to get an accurate representation of intersection curves. It is not a method for determining intersection curves, but only a method for parametrizing them. These parametrizations are piecewise-\(C^ 1\), but a general reparameterization scheme has been adapted to obtain \(C^ 1\) and piecewise-\(C^ 2\) parameterizations for these intersection curves. The method is successfully used in the Automation Technology Products' CIMPLEX system since 1986.
