The article gives a very clear exposition of the basics for the super Hilbert spaces. The definition itself is an improvement over the older ones, being more suitable for applications in physics, in particular for defining the notion of physical observable. Generally speaking, a super Hilbert space is a \({\mathbb Z}_2\)-graded Hilbert module with a continuous inner product over a finite or infinite dimensional Graßmann algebra. Physical observable is, in turn, a weakly self-adjoint operator on a super Hilbert space. The necessary notions from spectral theory are explained. The author presents an application to the Schrödinger representation of spinor quantum field theory and adds a discussion of many earlier definitions of super Hilbert spaces.
