Let \(A\subseteq B\) be an extension of integral domains and let \(X\) be an indeterminate. The authors derive some criteria, respectively necessary or sufficient conditions, for the domain \(A+XB[X]\) to be a Prüfer \(v\)-multiplication-domain or more specially a GCD-domain. Analogous results hold for \(A+XB[[X]]\).
