After defining the axiom of planes on real hypersurfaces in non-flat complex space forms several properties of these hypersurfaces are proven. According to the axiom of holomorphic 2-planes the only real hypersurfaces are ruled (i.e. the distribution is integrable and its leaves are open subsets of totally geodesic hyperplanes), real hypersurfaces. For real hypersurfaces in the non-flat complex space satisfying the axiom of totally real 2-planes, this hypersurface is ruled or it is congruent to special complex projective space or complex hyperbolic spaces.
