The purpose of this paper is to develop multiresolution schemes (the complex interrelations of fluxes across cell interfaces, the derivation of appropriate evolution equations for multiscale transformations, etc.) for block structured meshes obtained as parametric images of Cartesian grids. The idea of these multiresolution schemes is based on the approach of \textit{A. Harten} [Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 48, No. 12, 1305-1342 (1995; Zbl 0860.65078)]. Numerical examples for the two-dimensional Euler equations modelling hypersonic flow around a blunt body are presented.
