The author studies a generalized Vaidya spacetime, modelling a Schwarzschild object surrounded by two atmospheres. The metric depends on a dimensional parameter \(d\) and a horizon function \(m_d\). By varying these two ``parameters'', several \(d\)-dependent phenomena arise, from microscopic to the cosmological scales. The parameter \(d\) is interpreted as a fractal dimension linked to diffusion processes in the stellar atmosphere. Information from diffusion observations may provide indirect hints for smaller fractal (extra) dimensions.
