If \(\gamma\) is a unit in a finite local ring \(A\) and \(n>1\) is an integer not divisible by the characteristic of the residue field of \(A\), a linear code over \(A\) of length \(n\) is \(\gamma\)-\textit{constacyclic} iff it is invariant under the twisted cyclic permutation \((a_0,a_1,\ldots,a_{n-1})\mapsto (\gamma a_{n-1},a_0,\ldots,a_{n-2})\). As for the classical cyclic linear codes, \(\gamma\)-constacyclic codes correspond to ideals in the quotient ring \(A[T]/\langle T^n-\gamma\rangle\). The main results of this paper include the calculation of the number and structure of the \(\gamma\)-constacyclic codes of length \(n\) over a finite local Frobenius non-chain ring \(A\) of nilpotency index \(3\). To obtain these results the authors determine first the family of finite local Frobenius non-chain rings \(A\) of length \(4\), and in particular those rings with \(p^4\) elements, generalizing a previous result of [\textit{E. Martínez-Moro} and \textit{S. Szabo}, Contemp. Math. 684, 227--241 (2015; Zbl 1351.94078)] for rings with \(2^4\) elements.
