    The authors study the generic injectivity of the rational map which sends projective plane curves of fixed degree to the set of their inflection lines (in the dual space). For curves defined over a field of characteristic \(0\), the authors use a Torelli type argument to prove that a general plane quartic \(C\) is determined by the set of its inflection lines, plus one inflection point. For smooth cubic curves \(C\) defined over a field of characteristic \(>3\), the authors prove that indeed the set of inflection lines determine the sextic dual curve of \(C\).
