Aggregation functions acting on a complete lattice and possessing a neutral element are discussed and studied. Surprisingly they are called semi-uninorms. After several examples (mostly on \([0,1]\) equipped with the standard order), two residuals (adjoint functions) to a given semi-uninorm are introduced and studied, with stressing their relationship to implications on the underlying lattice. Vice-versa, for a given implication, two related semi-uninorms can be introduced, again as adjoint functions. The relationship with generalized modus ponens is also discussed.
