Let \(\gamma>0\) and \(H_\gamma\) denote the Hilbert space of analytic functions on \(\mathbb B^n\), the unit ball of \(\mathbb C^n\), with reproducing kernel functions \(K_z^\gamma(w)=\frac{1}{(1-\langle w,z\rangle)^\gamma}\), \(z,w\in \mathbb B^n\). Note that, for \(\gamma>n\), the space \(H_\gamma\) corresponds to the weighted Bergman space \(A^2_{\gamma-n-1}(\mathbb B^n)\) and for \(\gamma=n\), \(H_n\) is the usual Hardy space. The aim of the paper is to study weighted composition operators \(W_{f,\phi}(h)=f. h\circ \phi\) on such Hilbert spaces and to analyze when such operators are unitary, self-adjoint or normal. Results showing when the adjoint of a weighted composition operator is also a weighted composition operator are also analyzed.
