In homological algebra and homotopy theory one often uses a well-behaved category of models in order to study the less well-behaved derived/homotopy category which is of primary interest. The homotopy category typically has few limits, although it may have weaker ``homotopy limits''. Although the category of models typically does have limits, it is typically not the actual limits, but rather a certain ``derived limits''. This paper uses non-standard analysis to find conditions under which these derived limits vanish.
