Splice diagram determining singularity links and universal Abelian covers (Q649021): Difference between revisions

It is shown that the splice diagram of a rational homology sphere graph manifold determines the universal abelian cover. The proof by induction on the number of nodes requires a generalisation to orbifolds. The splice diagram contains enough information to decide whether the manifold is a singularity link. The author proves that this is the case if and only if the diagram has no negative decorations at nodes and all edge determinants are positive.
