The paper is a continuation of study in the field of `Generalized Topology' as introduced by \textit{Á. Császár} [Acta Math. Hung. 96, No. 4, 351--357 (2002; Zbl 1006.54003)]; here, the authors study systematically the relationship among generalized topologies, generalized neighbourhood systems and generalized interior operators. In the process of development, the concept of ascending `generalized neighborhood system' (GNS in short) is introduced and discussed. Finally, generalized continuous maps are dealt with in the perspective of generalized neighbourhood systems, generalized interior operators and generalized topologies.
