Motivated with the increasing interest to Anti-de Sitter (AdS) Quantum Field Theory, the authors make use of this theory to prove a new class of linearization identities among hypergeometric functions. The idea was suggested by the papers [the first author et al., Commun. Math. Phys. 295, No. 1, 261--288 (2010; Zbl 1197.83059)]; [the first author, \textit{H. Epstein} and \textit{U. Moschella}, Ann. Henri Poincaré 11, No. 4, 611--658 (2010; Zbl 1208.83111)] on particle decays in the de Sitter universe which unveiled a rich mathematical structure related to the Källén-Lehmann representation of products of two two-point functions. The results of the reviewed paper follow from the solution of the same problem in the AdS case. The mathematics behind these new identities is however quite different. The total amplitude for the decay of unstable particles is in the AdS case finite and AdS invariant.
