The author proves existence of multiple solutions for \[ -\Delta_p u -\mu \Delta u = g(x,u) \text{ in } \Omega, \;\;\;u = 0 \text{ on } \partial \Omega. \] It is assumed that \(1<p<\infty\), \(\Delta_p\) is the \(p\)-Laplacian, \(\mu> 0\), \(\Omega\) is a smooth, open, bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^N\) with \(N\geq 3\). The proof uses pseudo-index theory, which is related to Krasonselskii genus techniques.
