All modules considered are over a discrete valuation ring. The author introduces a class of mixed modules, called A-modules, which properly contains the class of Warfield modules. For A-modules, a new set of invariants, called A-numbers, are defined and it is shown that the A- numbers together with the Warfield invariants determine an A-module up to isomorphism. This generalizes the author's own classification of totally projective abelian p-groups and the classification of Warfield modules.
