The paper derives a relationship between the leading coefficient of the Laurent expansion of the Ruelle zeta function at \(s=0\) and the analytic torsion for hyperbolic manifolds with cusps. The analytic torsion is defined by a certain regularized trace following \textit{R. B. Melrose} [The Atiyah-Patodi-Singer index theorem. Wellesley, MA: A. K. Peters (1993; Zbl 0796.58050)]. The paper extends to the noncompact case the well-known results of \textit{D. Fried} [Invent. Math. 84, 523--540 (1986; Zbl 0621.53035)].
