The article considers the Lie algebra of all vector fields on a contact manifold as a module over the Lie algebra \(C\) of contact vector fields. This module splits into a direct sum of two submodules, given by \(C\) itself and the vector fields \(T\) which are tangent to the contact distribution. The article studies the action of \(C\) on the submodule \(T\), and provides the formula for this action. It expresses \(T\) as a tensor product of 2-forms which vanish on the contact distribution and some tensor densities. It also constructs an invariant non-degenerate bilinear skew-symmetric map from \(T\times T\) to \(C\).
