The author states the intention of this paper clearly in his introduction. He writes ``Lau demonstrated that for any point on the critical line there are infinitely many symmetric-square \(L\)-functions nonvanishing there; but he was not able to show that for all even \(k\) large enough one can find such an \(L\)-function associated to a form of weight \(k\).'' The author provides the missing statement. It follows directly from his main theorem evaluating averages over values of symmetric-square \(L\)-functions on the critical line.
