The authors study a class of conformal field theories, which they call Dotsenko-Fateev models. Their central charge is of the form \(13-\lambda - \lambda^{-1}\) where \(\lambda\) is a complex number; when \(\lambda\) is a rational (real) number, they reduce to minimal models. The braid group representations corresponding to the monodromy of the conformal blocks is computed, and shown to be related to quantum groups with parameters \(q=\exp (2\pi \lambda)\) and \(\exp (2\pi \lambda^{-1})\). Crossing symmetry in the model is also related to quantum groups.
