The authors consider a predator-prey population model with harvest. By transformation of variables, they obtain the non-dimensional system \[ \begin{aligned} & \frac{du}{dt}=u(1-F-u)-Auv,\\ & \frac{dv}{dt}=Bv\left[1-F-\frac{v(t-\tau)}{u(t-\tau)}\right] \end{aligned} \] with positive initial conditions \[ u_0(\theta)=\phi_1(\theta),\;v_0(\theta)=\phi_2(\theta )\geq 0,\;\theta\in [-\tau,0],\;u(0)>0,\;v(0)>0. \] Assuming that \(F\in (0,1)\), they obtain the following conclusions: if \(\tau=0\), the positive equilibrium \(E_*=(u^*,v^*)\) is globally asymptotically stable; if \(\tau\in [0,\tau_+]\), then \(E_*\) is locally asymptotically stable, where \(\tau_+\) is some constant. Furthermore, a Hopf bifurcation conclusion is given: assuming that \(B<1\), if the parameter \(\tau\) passes some critical value \(\tau=\hat{\tau}>0\), then a small amplitude periodic solution around \(E_*\) occur. All the methods in this article are standard.
