Rotational stability condition is applied to the PSR \(1937+214\) pulsar, suggesting that its rapid rotational rate may be close to the limit of rotational stability. This application implies additional bounds on the mass, radius, and moment of inertia of neutron star models, which depend on the theory of gravitation and the equation of state of cold superdense matter. Results obtained for various equations of state and theories of gravitation are used to set limits on the surface magnetic field and slow down rate of pulsar models.
