The author examines a minimal hypersurface M in \({\mathbb{R}}^{n+1}\) (n\(\geq 3)\) such that all intersections of M with a 1-parameter family of hyperplanes are (portions of) round spheres. It turns out that the plane must be parallel, and M must be a surface of revolution.
