In this highly condensed paper the authors present a complete solution to the relationship between statements of the form ``every X-set of reals has the property P'', where X refers to the lower levels of the analytical hierarchy of sets of reals, and among the properties P there are considered ``Lebesgue-measurable'', ``Baire categoricity'', ``to be Ramsey'' and ``K\(\sigma\)-regular''. The above statements are characterized by means of suitable notions of forcing.
