An embedding of a Menger space into a family of pseudometric (quasimetric) spaces is given and a common fixed point theorem is proved. Reviewer's remark: the so-called embedding theorem (Theorem 1.1) is just a restatement of a result of \textit{G. L. Cain jun.} and \textit{P. H. Kasriel} [Math. Systems Theory 9, No. 4, 289-297 (1976; Zbl 0334.60004)].
