In analogy to the continuous case, the auto-Bäcklund transform and, in particular, the Schlesinger transform are applied to the discrete Painlevé IV equation \[ (x_{n+1}+ x_ n)(x_ n+ x_{n-1})= ((x_ n^ 2-\mu)^ 2- \nu^ 2 x^ 2)/ ((x_ n+\delta n+\zeta)^ 2- \gamma^ 2). \] These transforms yield to relations between solutions belonging to different sets of parameters. As a byproduct, solutions of particular cases are obtained.
