    Gruppen von Typ \(n |h\) sind gewisse diskrete Gruppen zwischen den Kongruenzgruppen \(\Gamma_0 (N)\) und ihren Normalisatoren in der \(\text{PSL} (2, \mathbb{R})\). Man könnte sie auch verallgemeinerte Klassengruppen nennen; für den Fall \(h = 1\) fallen sie zusammen mit den Klassengruppen im Sinne von Fricke. Hier werden alle \(n|h\)-Typ-Gruppen vom Geschlecht null bestimmt. Motiviert wurde diese Klassifizierung durch den Zusammenhang mit dem Mondschein-Phänomen des Monsters.
