The Gibbs phenomenon describes the behaviour of the partial sums of a Fourier series in a neighbourhood of a simple discontinuity of the function expanded. Here, the Gibbs phenomenon for general summability methods of multiple Fourier integrals is considered. The Bochner-Riesz means of double Fourier integrals are studied in more detail.
