The paper is devoted to prove local and global existence and regularity theorems for the one-dimensional Zakharov model in the space periodic case. The technique used here is a Fourier analysis approach which is mainly an application of the contraction principle with norms expressed in terms of the Fourier transform of the amplitude (locally wellposed result). The global wellposedness proof is obtained by solving the fixed- point problem associated with the equivalent integral equation of the amplitude.
