Nach einem Überblick über die Beziehungen der Mathematik und der Naturwissenschaften wendet sich der Verf. denjenigen von Mathematik und Spielen zu. Der philosophische Hintergrund wird beleuchtet. Schwerpunkt ist dabei die Gegenüberstellung von H. Weyl und D. Hilbert und die Kontroverse mit L. Wittgenstein. Zum Schluß wendet sich der Verf. den möglichen historiographischen Konsequenzen des Spieldiskurses zu.
