The article proposes an infinite partially ordered set \(I\) by axioms on its elements, called instants. \(I\) contains a linear continuum. The set \(I\) is called a model for time. The measurement in \(I\) is imposed by axioms on instants. The axioms of \(I\) are not based on the conception of ``events'', which is more fundamental than those of instants, according to the literature.
