The authors supplement their previous work on optimal transportation plans. If one of the underlying measures in the transportation problem is absolutely continuous, then there exists an increasing, measurable transportation map which is almost surely continuous. By their final result, they prove that a.s. continuity is a consequence of monotonicity alone.
