The referred paper is based on the proof of a fixed point theorem on a discrete set, presented in the first sections. The proof exploits the concepts of contiguous convexity and direction preserving ness. The main result is used for the analysis of some discrete analogies of equilibria formulated originally for the continuous case. Namely, a set of sufficient conditions for the existence of a Walrasian equilibrium price, and conditions for the existence of a Nash equilibrium point are shown.
