Let \(\mathbb{S}(M)\), \(M> 1\), be the class of holomorphic univalent functions \(f(z)= z+ a_2z^2+\cdots,| f(z)|< M\), for \(z\in \mathbb{D}= \{z:| z|< 1\}\) and \(\mathbb{L}(f)= \sum^n_{k=2} \lambda_ka_k\), \((\lambda_2,\dots, \lambda_n)\in \mathbb{R}^{n-1}\). Denote by \(\mathbb{S}^1(M)\) the class of functions \(f\in \mathbb{S}(M)\) which map \(\mathbb{D}\) onto the disk \(\mathbb{D}_M= \{z:| z|< M\}\) and slit along an analytic curve. Let \(P_M(\cdot)\) be the Pick function. The author proves Theorem 1. Let \(\max_{f\in\mathbb{S}(M)} \text{Re\,}\mathbb{L}(f)= \text{Re\,}\mathbb{L}(f_0)\) for \(f_0\in \mathbb{S}^1(M)\). If \(\sum^n_{k=2}(k- 1)\lambda_k\sin(k- 1)u\) have only single zeros on \([0,2\pi]\), then \(f_0\) is either the Pick function \(P_M(z)\) or \(-P_M(-z)\) provided \((M-1)\) is small enough. Theorem 1 is also applied to \(\mathbb{L}(f)= a_n+\alpha a_m\) where \(\alpha> 0\), \((n-1)\) and \((m-1)\) are odd and relatively prime. It is known that \textit{M. Schiffer} and \textit{O. Tammi} (1968) and \textit{L. Siewierski} (1971) showed that there exists \(M_n> 1\) such that \(\text{Re\,}a_n\) is maximized in \(\mathbb{S}(M)\) by the function \(P_{M,n}(z)= [P_{M^{n-1}}(z^{n-1})]^{1/(n-1)}\in \mathbb{S}(M)\) for all \(M\in (1,M_n)\).
