The authors present a wide variety of ways to measure the relative efficiency, progress and regress for each components of a multi-component decision making units (DMU), for panel data. Using data envelopment analysis (DEA) technology, the authors show that how each DMU and its components in a panel can be characterized in efficiency terms. They determine the progress and regress for each components of a DMU. An application area investigated is that involving the deposit part, sales part and services part, within the Iranian commercial bank branches.
