The author presents splitting schemes based on stabilizing corrections for initial-boundary value problems for partial differential equations. An error analysis (restricted to linear problems) is provided together with stability results. Moreover theoretical results are well illustrated numerically, applying the stabilizing correction schemes to 2D convection-diffusion-reaction equations.
